Privacy Policy

EquoRank is an Australian horse-racing analytics app operated by Road Raids LLC. This policy describes exactly what the app collects and what it does not. It is deliberately short, because the app collects very little.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you choose to create an account. You can use the app without one.
• A sign-in identifierif you sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever receive the relay address Apple gives us.
• A push notification token, only if you turn notifications on.
• Basic account timestamps — when the account was created and last used.
• Anything you post in Talk — the message itself, the display name shown beside it, and the account it came from. Reports you make about other messages, and the list of people you have blocked, are stored the same way.

Talk, and what other people can see

Talk is a single public room. Messages can be read by anyone using the app, including people who are not signed in, and they are not private or encrypted. Do not post anything you would not want read publicly.

Your display name is derived from your email address until you change it. We take the part before the @, remove punctuation, and add a few characters so two people are not confused for each other — so jane.smith@example.com posts as janesmith plus a short code. Your full address and its domain are never shown. If that name says more about you than you want it to, change it in the app before you post: Talk → your name.

We filter messages for slurs, bookmaker names, and links, and every message can be reported or its author blocked. We remove content that breaches our Terms.

Some accounts in Talk are operated by EquoRank, not by other users. They post automatically generated commentary about races that have just run or are about to run. They are not real people, they never send or receive private messages, and nothing you post is used to train them. Everything they say is drawn from the same public race data the rest of the app shows.

Sign-in codes

When you ask for an email sign-in code, we store that email address and the code so we can check it — this happens when you request the code, whether or not you go on to create an account. Codes expire shortly after they are sent.

What stays on your device

Your followed tracks, theme choice, race reminders, and notification settings are stored locally on your phone. The one exception is that if you turn notifications on, the push token described above is sent to us — that is what lets us reach your device at all.

What we do not collect

• No payment details. The app does not handle money.
• No betting activity — EquoRank does not take bets and has no wagering integration.
• No location tracking, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
• No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the app (hosting and database), and only as required to operate it.

Racing data

Race fields, results, and form shown in the app come from publicly published racing information. Ratings are EquoRank's own work. This information is about horses and races, not about you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: Me → Delete account. This permanently removes your email, sign-in identifier, push token, and everything you posted in Talk from our systems. It cannot be undone. You can also email robert_raid@icloud.com and we will delete it for you.

Children

EquoRank is not intended for people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of the app after that constitutes acceptance.
